4th of July at Leerjak

Ok I know it is early but we have made our reservations for Leerjak for the 4th of July. We will probably be arriving the 4th or the 5th and staying until Sunday if any one is interested in going. The only thing that would change our plans is the weather. If is too hot for to long then we won't go b/c of the dust. But if it is under 900 degrees we are planning on being there.

is that 90 or 900 degrees? have you already made a reservation? my gf might come but she can only ride with me on kind a sorta easy trails. do not think my 4wheeler would do some of the trails Dave an I did before.

Sounds good we will be there. No spare parts needed. We will just hope for the best!

Just so everyone knows LeerJak has cancelled the ride in July due to a family medical emergency. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. We are now looking for a new kid friendly place to camp and ride for the 4th.

Bummer about Leerjak, kids were excited. I got me a spot at Suttons Bluff, which is one of my favs because the camp spots are larger than most campgrounds offer, trails are pretty cool and offer some great views, if riding a utv or side by side bring a hand saw to clear down trees if necessary, The kids love cooling off at the crystal clear Black river which is next to the campground. The campground is paved, which is good cause the kids like riding bikes and scooters. Several videos on youtube to get an idea what the trails are like, you can ride to the trailhead on your atv or side by side if you have the county road permit and an orange triangle on the back, if you dont have the county road permit you have to trailer to the parking area to ride the trails about 3 miles from campground. Also a trail permit is required which you can purchase online or at cindys quikstop.

Happy Riding!
