Yeah, It is a big piece of land that is owned by the army corps of engineers. It's a good place t it's a good place to ride I've been out with my 150 buggy about 4 times without issue. I we park on my buddies parking lot (captain Jims firworks), and just ride over to the trails. There are no real challanging hills that we've found, but because of the rain I'm sure there will be a couple mud pits now so be sure to have a spare set of cloths handy!

Okay I hate to make numerous post but I did a google search and couldn't find any West Alton trail that allows atvs. I would really like to get out and ride on Saturday morning but I don't own a helmet and would hate to show up somewhere and not be able to ride. Anyone planning on meeting anywhere and going together as a group?
the west alton trails are semi legal trails if thats a good description. people have been riding them for years without a problem but it isnt a park or anything like that really
what day are you guys wanting to go? ill probably just take the 150 out
Whats good for you guys? as of right now it doesn't matter to me, I'm guessing Sat morn but it's supposed to rain Fri so it might be a little too muddy, so Sun might be good also.
Yep, that's the one we park behind the dirt cheap... I'd say around 10:30-11.00 we'll probably roll out around 11:00ish once every one shows up. You can contact me 314-437-0788 by text, or call if you get lost.
I have to bleed my brakes, I installed a new master cylinder yesterday so I know my lines are filled with air, I should be good to go by Sun, can't wait to ride again, it's been a few weeks.

Im sure you should be able to get through the trails, there are few hills but none on the main trails. If you cant make it through then yeah, i might laugh at first but Ill help get it right. Lol
LOL at Chad!!! Or maybe you sharted (****-fart). We had a nice time out today. Wish we could have rode a little longer though. We met new members, witnessed an accident, then finally got the confirmation that there is no more riding the Alton Trails. They were fun while they lasted. Cant wait till the Moonlight Meetup. Oh yeah...I snapped a few pics on my phone when we made some stops, not many, too busy riding.

LOL! I know right! this was a crazy day... I think someone from the hoods or one of the local guys that ride out there called in on us. The cops don't even care if you ride out there they have more important stuff to do, why do you think he didn't give any tickets are bother about it. It was just some person who had nothing better to do so they probably called on us when they saw us going to the trails. I know that it wasn't anyone from Jims, because we've never had any problems until I saw today that the Hoods was somewhat open. Anyways, it was fun for the little time that we did get to ride and I hope I can make it down to Moonshine in a couple weeks! lol
Man I had a blast today. First time out riding like that. Cant wait to do it again. Hope your buggie get fixed fast and cheap. Next time I am going to duct tape my hat to my head.
Oh yeah I almost killed myself at home. Backed off the truck and meant to hit the hand brake and instead hit the gas with my thumb. That thing stood straight up. Dont know how it didnt roll over. I think I pee'd myself.
Well Bob...I guess since I only have 3 post and considered a Newbie, I can tell you about the day. First was the accident. We were on top of the levee, going pretty fast. Chad was in front, Tim, then TJ. Chad hat flew off, Tim stopped to get it, TJ wasnt looking, and wham, right in the back of Tim. Chuck might have some footage on the go pro. Second the Po Po. LOL! Right after the crash, while we were doing the fix, Chucks phone ring and its the Po Po. Telling him its private land and we cant be back there. All in all, we got in some good riding, found some new trails back there, and it looks completely different from the last time we were out there.
well i was gonna edit the videos downloaded avs etc got 1 done ready to convert and it quit
always wear your belts we hit a tree full speed on the way out zach feels fine had his belt on i feel like total ****. heads fuzzy back and arm hurt's, and the damn camera was off :(
Oh, that's right you did say you hit a tree, I didn't know it was on our trip, I don't feel as bad anymore I'm not the only one who hit something! lol hope ya feel better. I try to wear my belt as much as possible, I don't know how many times I've got into some situations where it came in handy, just like today.
Once I get a chance I can find some cloud storage you can upload them to, about how big are the files?
