both of those bikes look great! I'm scared to ride the 3 wheelers, I've heard a lot of bad things about them tipping, have you had any bad experiences with them?
A three wheeler is only as dangerous as the person operating it. They received a bad rap because of idiots riding on pavement, drunk, no helmets, and just plain stupidity. I've been hurt more on my quads than on my trikes and I've owned the top 250r for 23 years.
Yeah, they're not bad as long as your not an idiot! I used to ride my buddies 250r all the time and never got hurt, just gotta get "the feel" and go tear it up!
Yeah, the '86 with the paddles will only be ridden at St. Joe's on dry days (way to much money in that one for the trails) I have $2000 worth of new oem plastic on that bike. There is nothing cheap for these old 250r's.
The '85 just got a custom 10" front wheel and new tire along with a new 34mm pj carb. It runs pretty strong and is my trail bike. I am planning on going tuesday or wednesday to St Joe for a little shake down ride with the '85. Its had a lot of work lately and I want to put some hours on it before I go on a long ride.
